This 2 part workshop will introduce the foundational anatomy, modifications and adjustments for Pre/Postnatal Yoga. Ideal for both teachers and practitioners who want to learn more about how to safely modify and support themselves or others in the yoga practice before or after pregnancy.
SATURDAY JANUARY 20, 1PM - 5:30PM
Learn how to safely support and integrate prenatal students into regular classes. Through lecture, discussion and hands on application we will explore the transformative journey of pregnancy from 1st-3rd trimesters and how yoga can help to ease pain, relieve stress and increase the mother-baby bond. We will cover how to safely modify asana, appropriate and gentle hands on adjustments and the proper usage of props for Prenatal yoga practitioners.
SUNDAY JANUARY 21, 1PM - 5:30PM
Postnatal classes are just as important, if not more, than Prenatal. We will discuss the anatomy of the postnatal body and how cesarean sections differ from vaginal birth. Through discussion and demonstration, learn how to support Postnatal yoga practitioners in safely and effectively recovering their bodies. This part will include essential abdominal, pelvic floor and core anatomy and Pilates exercises that will benefit instructors and students.

Minyoung is a senior yoga and Pilates teacher trainer, the first Yoga Alliance certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher in Thailand and the owner and director of The Movement Tree Continuing School of Education for Movement Instructors. Her work consists of international workshops, teacher trainings and her private clientele who include foreign dignitaries, Thai royalty
and CEO’s of international companies. As a trained researcher and anthropologist, Minyoung has a slight obsession with functional anatomy and its application to active rehab and recovery, yoga, Pilates, dance, martial arts, etc. She combines her unique approach of anatomical knowledge with frank humor and real world application. Minyoung is a lover of keeping it real, home cooked meals and sleep.
