Other Useful Information
Flying from Yangon: Airasia has launched a new daily DMK (Bangkok) > LPQ (Luang Prabang) flight making it finally affordable to take a long weekend in LP. At the time of writing, the R/T airfare cost from Yangon to Luang Prabang with a connection in Bangkok is less than $220 R/T - you're welcome to come early or stay longer after the retreat. Bangkok Airways also has a flight with a shorter connection time in BKK for $400 R/T.
Climate in Luang Prabang in July: The climate is similar to Yangon so rain is a strong possibility, however it's usually a short burst during the afternoon and the bonus is that the temperatures are cooler, the tourists are fewer and the grounds are very green and lush during this time.
Visa for Laos: You can get a visa on arrival at the airport for $30 - $45 depending on your nationality. SE Asian passport holders are typically exempt. Be sure to bring one passport sized photo and exact change.
Price exclusions: Flight to/from Luang Prabang, lunch and dinner (1 picnic lunch and 1 group dinner included), optional gratuities, activities not stated in details)
