ADVANCE YOUR PRACTICE WITH THESE FOUR WORKSHOPS! Core, breath and bandhas (locks), you hear them constantly in yoga classes. "Engage the core," "deepen your breath," "lift the pelvic floor" are all common instruction in yoga asana classes. But what do they really mean? In this four-part workshop, we break down each of these major elements of yoga practice to bring you an integrated approach to advancing your own personal yoga practice and give you the tools to take yourself to another level of experience and understanding. Join Adrian Cox at our Downtown studio for this transformational weekend.

The PSOAS muscle is the major CORE support structure in your body

MANY people have a big program with this muscle. If your psoas is tight, it can cause serious postural problems. A tight psoas is a common cause of low back pain and stiffness and can contribute to arthritis in the lumbar facet joints, shorten your breath and even produce a belly that sticks out more than you would like.

Develop awareness and get relief!

LEARN HOW TO

  • Improve the strength of your spine

  • Relieve lower back pain

  • Get better alignment

  • Improve  your posture

  • Open your backbends

  • Bring ease to your breath

You will develop the inside knowledge of the super important anatomy and practice a sensory-enhancing yoga sequence to change things for the better

Have you heard your teachers say "lift the pelvic floor!" or "engage mula bandha!" and really not have a clear idea of what they are talking about? Now is the time to learn about bandhas or locks.

Once you learn more, your body develops a kind of lightness that makes handstands lighter, backbends safer, and everything in yoga just come together more easily.

It's time you knew. It will make ALL the difference in your yoga. This workshop on the practice of bandha will answer the HOW and WHY about the use of bandha (body locks) in the practice of yoga asana and pranayama. You will learn the specific anatomy, put it into simple practice and transform your yoga forever.

  • An easier way to mula bandha

  • Accessing the deep front line of the body

  • Navel bandha

  • Throat bandha

  • Moving your body's energy
