yoga ~ meditation ~ self-discovery
A Myanmar yoga retreat that is off the beaten path. An immersion into the history and philosophy of yoga; breathing techniques; alignment tools; and whole-hearted connection. A journey into the Self and into the heart of the Myanmar countryside.
Travel by minivan and boat from Loikaw to Inle Sanctuary, located on the remote Samka Lake, where we will spend four days immersed in a full and holistic practice of yoga to get you on the path of self-discovery. Classes will include daily morning meditation, pranayama and asana practice, as well as afternoon sessions on slignment, awareness, and an applicable approach to the philosophy of yoga. This immersion requires full attendence from each participant, but you will still have some free time to explore other activities. On the last day of the retreat, we will depart by boat to Nyaungshwe, on the North of Inle Lake, stopping briefly at a sunken temple. The price of this retreat is US$465 per person. Accommodation will be provided in either double or triple occupancy bungalows. The retreat will be led by Yangon Yoga House partner and yoga teacher, Julie Moksim.
