Sunday September 10th  1:30 - 4 PM

This workshop is geared towards practitioners who are working towards a free-standing headstand or those who would like a refresher on techniques to enter into headstand with greater control. In the first hour, we will lead you through a dynamic vinyasa flow sequenced to activate the muscles of the upper body, shoulders and core to prepare the body to go upside down. Once we are warm, we will work on drills to strengthen the wrists, integrate the shoulder girdle and tap into the mula bandha; a key component to lifting and balancing while upside down. In the last hour, we will break down the steps in order to arrive in headstand in a safe and balanced manner, and explore different ways to bring our feet up!

Each 2.5 Hour session: $35

Both sessions (5 hours): $60

EARLY BIRD discount if paid before September: $30 for single session, $50 for both sessions

Sunday September 17th  1:30 - 4:00 PM

This workshop plays with arm and leg variations for headstand and explores creative transitions for going upside down.  We will start with an uplifting vinyasa flow and continue to build fire with an extended pranayama practice. In the second half of the workshop, learn different approaches for entering gracefully into your headstand and practice creative leg sequences while inverted. We will discuss techniques for switching up the arm placement of both tripod and supported headstand, transitioning from arm balances into headstands, and pressing from headstand into forearm stand. Suitable for practitioners who can lift into and hold a free-standing supported or tripod headstand for at least 5 breaths.

This workshop is not recommended if you have any of the following:
