At Yangon Yoga House, we believe in providing fun, challenging and rewarding ways to feel great through movement. Our certified, English-speaking instructors lead classes for every one at every level of fitness from absolute beginners to experienced practitioners. In the interest of public health, we are capping our class size at 17 participants to allow several feet of space between mats. What this means for you:


  • Please pre-register for classes, particularly for weekend classes which tend to be full

  • Since space will be reduced, you may cancel your class up 1 hour before class time. If you do not show up for a class that you are registered for and it is fully booked, we will have to deduct the class from your pass. Unlimited members will be charged a $10 fee for no-show.

  • Now is a great time to try new classes! We have lots of classes that regularly have fewer than 17 participants, so there is still room for everyone.

  • Consider bringing your own yoga mat and a small towel to use as a barrier between you and the studio props.

  • As a cautionary measure, anyone who is visibly coughing in class will be asked not to join the class.


Please be well, and please keep on living your lives, with reasonable caution and with more space between your mats! If you are NOT sick, movement and stress reduction are probably the best things you can do to stay well, so please do keep coming to yoga.


Partner Thai Yoga Massage Workshop

Bring a friend, a fellow yogi or your partner for a fun and relaxing exploration into the basics of Thai Yoga Massage with Anna. In this partner-based workshop, you will be guided through a Thai Yoga Massage sequence and will have a chance to both give and to receive. Learn easy and effective hands-on tools to provide relief for the back, feet, shoulders and neck. Experience the power of touch to forge meaningful connections and healing intentions.

No experience necessary! All are welcome.

Asana Clinic - Inversions

March 20, 2020

​This 2-hour asana clinic is a combination of a yoga practice and a workshop, revolving around a single posture or group of poses. We will break the posture down into individual parts and rebuild it with detailed attention to body placement, alignment, technique and how your personal anatomy plays a part in the experience of the posture.  This month's focus will on inversions, including shoulderstand, headstand, and forearm stand. We will move in steps to establish strength and stability in order to prepare the body to go upside down.

This class is suitable for all levels, but will stretch you with the attention to detail involved.
