This workshop is designed to be an exploration of flexibility, both in body and mind, with the aim of creating more space to practice safely and mindfully. Many people cite inflexibility as their primary struggle in yoga. When we break things down to understand how things are interconnected in the body, breath, and mind, new insight arises as to how to modify the practice to work for you, wherever you are.
THE MECHANICS OF STRETCHING
Saturday September 10 2 - 5 PM
By using the wall, props, and partners, we will explore different modifications for dealing with common areas of tightness, particularly in the hips and hamstrings. These variations will give you the tools to improve flexibility gradually rather than straining. Once we create space, we will use the breath to go deeper in a relaxed way. This workshop is suitable for practitioners of all levels and body types, from extra stiff to hyper mobile!

ABOUT DALI DHAMMA
Dali is from Alaska and has been exploring Yoga and Buddhism since 2006. He was first inclined to do yoga after trying to meditate and realizing how tight his body was. Since then, he has sat meditation retreats in Thailand and Myanmar, attended yoga trainings in India and China, and taught workshops and classes along the way.
